This short film documents how seeing our beautiful planet above from space can change the life. It’s called the Overview Effect – “an experience that transforms astronauts’ perspective of the planet and mankind’s place upon it”, first described by Frank White in 1987, the film’s description says.
Common features of the experience are a feeling of awe for the planet, a profound understanding of the interconnection of all life, and a renewed sense of responsibility for taking care of the environment.
These five astronauts have realized the unity and the oneness of all life on earth. We are on one big living organism.
